I am a writer, filmmaker and multi-disciplinary artist writing regularly for Creative Bloq and my Substack publication, Mabel Media. I am currently studying a BA in illustration and visual media at UAL and searching for representation for my debut picture book. My writing and art centres around a love-centric London and my romanticised spontaneous endeavours across foreign cities. It is at my core to be a storyteller, and I believe my purpose is to see beautiful things, create beautiful things, see all the different sides of the world and its people, and then create stories about all of it. Before studying my current degree at UAL, I studied a documentary filmmaking course at the BFI Academy and worked as a studio assistant for Future Publishing. I have also worked as an assistant director of photography for Manoel Akure and his noteable creative agency on a music video shoot, as well as shooting and editing the behind-the-scenes footage for this shoot.
I write and edit my Substack publication, Mabel Media, on which I write new articles regularly documenting my travels abroad and my life in London, as well as pieces on culture, literature and film. One of these articles about Rosemary Tonks was praised by Neil Astley who sent it on to her fiction publisher and her family. I also publish new videos weekly on my YouTube channel, which is the second division of Mabel Media, and one of my videos was recognised by the Yorkshire Burrito company. These videos are documentations of life in London, and bridge the gap between short documentaries and short films. I am currently searching for representation for my picture book, as well as working on a novel and my poetry.
